Hi, I’m Patty. It’s nice to meet you!
My personal adventure in professional photography began in 2011 when my husband, Allan, and I started our own production company. We were newlyweds, fresh out of college, and had not the slightest clue what we were doing. But we felt called to use our skills in video and photography to tell meaningful, true stories to connect inspiring causes with people around the globe. So that’s what we did, and it actually worked out quite well. Our work took us to children's homes in India, prisons in South Africa, and soup kitchens in NYC. We got to meet incredible people doing truly amazing work, and we loved it.
It wasn’t until our first daughter was born in 2017 that I realized I wanted a way to continue creating meaningful things without needing to travel to various corners of the world. Around that time, sitting on the couch while holding my sleeping baby, I had a lightbulb moment. I had done family photo sessions for friends for years as a side gig, and always loved it. The opportunity to take photos of a new baby makes me feel excited to get out of bed in the morning. Capturing memories for families is something I find incredibly meaningful and fulfilling. So I decided to shift my professional focus to family photography in order to tell the stories of family histories in the making. It’s been a great adventure so far, and I hope you’ll join me!
